The Orchards Executive Golf Course

A UNIQUE GEM IN THE CENTER OF LAWRENCE

Built in 1979, Mel Anderson designed this beautiful 9 Hole Executive Golf Course as an auxiliary to The Alvamar Country Club (now The Jayhawk Club). In the second half of 2018, a course-wide facelift was initiated to increase the playability of the Greens and expand the tee boxes to lengthen the course.
Don’t let this short 1,943 yard executive course fool you. Tight, tree lined fairways weave through creeks and thick rough approaching small, tucked greens that can be tricky to read. The Orchards will give you a challenging, but enjoyable round no matter your skill level.
This unique gem is located in the center of Lawrence along Bob Billings Parkway and is within walking distance of the KU campus, as well as being easily accessible to out-of-town guests.
